Please join us to celebrate a Park County treasure, Michael Chikuzen Gould (Grand Maser of Shakuhachi) in concert with Chieko Iwasaki playing Shimisen and Koto and Kuniyasu Iwazaki playing Shakuhachi. Shamisen and shakuhachi form an ancient musical partnership that dates back to eight century Buddhist monks in Japan. Compositions, both contemporary and traditional, accompanied by stories will be part of the Saturday evening performance.
